Job Description

Seeking a Full-Time Supervisor, Respiratory Care to join our team at Oro Valley Hospital. Our focus is on high quality patient care through patient assessment, critical thinking skills, time management and teamwork.


Summary:  Plans, oversees and supervises daily operations of Respiratory Care Unit. Makes recommendation on all personnel actions, including hiring, promoting, evaluating, disciplining and terminating employees. Supervises technical and professional staff.  Reports to the Department Head or designee. Compiles, monitors and analyzes unit's statistics, generates reports and documents. Communicates observations, facts, and assessments to department manager or director. May prepare unit's budget and makes budget recommendations to management. Provides assistance to physicians on an on-going basis with examinations, procedures, and other processes as needed. Provides care to all levels of patients including critical care, performing all  appropriate procedures and techniques.  Ensures that the quality control and quality improvement programs are established, maintained and modified if necessary to assure quality of unit or clinic services. Manages and oversees all blood gas lab procedures, competencies, documentation and equipment.
