This position is for a PRN physical therapist in an acute hospital setting with potential to float to the onsite Inpatient Rehab Facility.
Physical Therapist license in the state of Arizona required.
Administers comprehensive physical therapy services to patients. Provides direct patient care, testing analyses, and evaluations for a wide variety of diagnoses including: post-operative, acute stroke, acute fractures, brain injury, critically ill, or those having complex medical issues with physical impairment. Provides physical therapy coverage for the entire hospital: Med-Surg, Telemetry, ICU, ED, Inpatient Rehab, and Behavioral Health Unit. Formulates a treatment plan which is consistent with the patient's needs. Communicates regularly with others involved in the patient's care including nurses, case management, physicians, and other therapy cohorts. Provides consultation and direct assistance to staff and physicians in the management of patients. Follows established protocols for documentation. Assists in supervising physical therapy assistants. Observes organizational and universal precautions for infection control in carrying out daily responsibilities.
