This per diem (as needed) position will be scheduled for afternoon shifts with rotation as needed at Oro Valley Hospital
Operates multiple-call telephone switchboard console and routes calls to the appropriate person or location. Performs multiple tasks related to business office operations. Responsible for contacting on-call staff for administration, bio-med, cath lab, clergy, dialysis, EEG, echo, GI lab, IS, and plant ops. Responsible for monitoring all fire and gas alarms, generators, blood bank alarms, Women's Center fire alarm and panic alarms. Responsible for all code alarms (Codes Blue, Red, White, Silver, Pink, and Grey, RST, Bat Activation, and Disaster Procedures. Maintains appropriate telephone records and logs (codes, stats, etc.).Operates public address system, autocall, or other systems of bells or Ascom phones to call hospital employees and physicians.Aware of community resources. Attends meetings as required. Orders supplies as needed. Demonstrates proficiency at hospital wide and/or department specific computer software and technology. Performs other job duties relevant to the position as assigned.
