This PRN "perdiem" position is scheduled for 8 hour shifts, typically 1 or more shiftsper week, with additional hours and shifts possible as needed by thedepartments.

Operatesmultiple-call telephone switchboard console and routes calls to the appropriateperson or location.  Performs multiple tasks related to business officeoperations. Responsible for contacting on-call staff for administration,bio-med, cath lab, clergy, dialysis, EEG, echo, GI lab, IS, and plant ops.Responsible for monitoring all fire and gas alarms, generators, blood bankalarms, Women's Center fire alarm and panic alarms. Responsible for all codealarms (Codes Blue, Red, White, Silver, Pink, and Grey, RST, Bat Activation,and Disaster Procedures. Maintains appropriate telephone records and logs(codes, stats, etc.).Operates public address system, autocall, or other systemsof bells or Ascom phones to call hospital employees and physicians.Aware ofcommunity resources. Attends meetings as required. Orders supplies as needed.Demonstrates proficiency at hospital wide and/or department specific computersoftware and technology. Performs other job duties relevant to the position asassigned.



Education: High School diploma/GED orequivalent experiencepreferred.                                               

Experience: One year experience with multiplephone linespreferred.                                               
Skills: Ability to read and write Englishfluently, and to follow written and oral instructions and establishedprocedures. Answers multi-line telephones and maintains logs
