Patient Access - Lead - Full Time
Assists management in providing leadership and back up coverage for all functions on all shifts. Assists in monitoring front end functions to enable the department to achieve its productivity, quality assurance and financial goals. Ensures effective and efficient processing of patient flow and front end operations.
Organizes inpatient and outpatient claims for electronic or hard copy mail and forwards to appropriate third party payers. Reviews claims to make sure that payer specific billing requirements are met, follows-up on billing, determines and applies appropriate adjustments, answers inquiries, and updates accounts as necessary. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
Two (2) years registration experience or One (1) year experience as Patient Access Representative at NMC or OVH. Hospital billing and insurance verification preferred.
